Plans for Memorial Day weekend

Sounds crazy, but our exciting plans this weekend are to do some serious grilling out and work on the house. We'll likely be joining Windsor Swim club this summer (or we might get our own pool). If we do join Windsor, I am sure part of the weekend will be spent splashing around in the water and perfecting the world-famous Barnhart Belly flop.
The house is coming along nicely. We have our kitchen cabinets ordered and most of the walls built for the new kitchen, half-bath, and shop. The bathroom and 1/2 the shop are also drywalled. So, this weekend will be spent hanging drywall.
Also, the siding we want is on sale and Menards, so we'll be buying that and maybe we can get some siding up on the North. It will be a refreshing change to see nice siding instead of warped brown wood siding.
I called Illini FS today to come out and fix the tire on the 4320 so I could do some mowing. The Canadian Thistle is growing and starting to flower, so I need to get out there and attack it. I think I am going to get one of those trailer sprayers to pull behind the garden tractor to wipe out big areas.
Unfortunately, I can't do that in the prairie, since it will kill everything. So, I'll have to spot spray, which is a huge job.
We are looking at replacing the doors on the shed as well. Someday, I'd like to turn the North end of the shed into a nice heated workshop for me. This last weekend, on the way back from a weekend for just Holly and myself, we stopped by a place that has 300 old cars for sale. Kinda got my blood
burning to restore something. I am sure that I'll start on the '52 International someday and all of that has to take a back seat to working on the house. But, maybe next summer, if we really get things going, I can start to play more out there. :)
