CUGarageSales.com - Comprehensive Listing of Garage Sales in East-Central Illinois

Sunday, August 28, 2005

Well.. my new website is just about ready to go live this week. I still have a bit of housekeeping to do and checking around in getting yard signs for people who list their garage sales... but I think there is a huge market for this.

Beyond being able to view garage sales (or other types of sales) on a map, you can also do searches on keywords or item categories and save those searches.

I may also add the ability for people to add more detailed information (including pictures) on special items. Say... if they were selling an antique desk.

Back to working on the house, more pictures

Wednesday, August 24, 2005

I've uploaded another set of pictures... these are mostly from the Penfield tractor show. 8-24-05

I am back to working on the house this week. I've ripped apart most of the upstairs bathroom and laundary room and tonight I rip out the floor and hopefully put the new floor back in tomorrow. I am taking pictures throughout the whole process.

Today was the kid's first full day back in school... yesterday they had a great time during their 2 hours.

Map Sex Offenders - Free US Sex Offender Registry Mapping System

Want to know if there are Sex Offenders in your neighborhood?

Keep in mind, that some of these crimes are very minor or happened when the person was young... but they are branded for life.

For example, if you were dating someone when you were 18 and they were 17... you could be brought under charges and be labeled for life.

Six Flags, Alex, recovery

Friday, August 19, 2005

Well... it's been 3 weeks now since my surgery and all is good... Really, the pain was much much less then I was expecting, which is great. The hardest part was sitting around with ice for 4 days and then no lifting for 2 weeks... not the lack of activity that I am used to. :)

But, Holly has been a trooper, mowing the lawn and taking care of things that I normally would.

Tomorrow, we are thinking of going to Six Flags down in St Louis.. although at the moment, there is a 50% chance of rain... so that may kabosh that idea. :(

Next week, 20th Century is coming to put up our HVAC to the upstairs and I still have a lot of work to do to get ready for them. So, not going would probably be a good thing. I need to rip out the ceiling in the west side of the living (which is the floor to the laundary room and bathroom) and replace the ceiling/floor joists. It hopefully won't be as bad as it sounds... but a good solid day of work.

Alex has been up visiting this week which has been nice. We went to lunch one day and he came out one night and we burned... fun to catch up on things.

Thanks to Carrie for telling me how to fix my blogger posts so they looked right! I've been hesitant to post anything these last couple of weeks as I then have to go in and fix the formating every time.
