Easter weekend

Monday, April 09, 2007

Even though it was very cold, we had a lovely Easter weekend.

On Saturday, Glen and Lynn came into town from Detroit and we had a very nice dinner at Mike Smallwood's (although, it was way too cold to be outside). It was a blast to get out with friends... seems like it has been ages since we've been able to do that. They have a basement, so the kids all had a great time playing down there (although, Bridget did tell me that they were taking turns locking themselves in the dog cage!)

Sunday, we went to church, and then to Karen's for a visit. Holly's family was having a luncheon at Aunt Bonnie's starting at 1:30, so we hung out there until 4. There is always tons of good home-made food at their family gatherings. My family's have gotten a bit lazy and we tend to buy things (pizza, subs, etc)..

Finally, Glen and Lynn came out to see the farm and to chat for awhile. They visited Lefty and I got to introduce Lynn to all the tractors. :)

Unfortunately, I did not get to see Alex, as we just ran out of time on Sunday. Hopefully, he'll get down this way again soon so he can meet Lucy!

Haircut, Stuff for Sale, Lucy, Mr Corbin

Sunday, April 01, 2007

For those who have seen me recently might know that I had my hair about 1/3 down my back. Well... Saturday afternoon, we decided to cut it all off and now I have a nice Buz cut. :)

BeforeAfter

I am cleaning out the shed and I have a bunch of stuff for sale. Take a look at my for sale page for a current list.

An old friend of the family, Jim Corbin had his memorial service on Saturday. He died on March 1, 2007. He lives about 2 miles from us (which makes us neighbors out in the country), but I was amazed to find out all he had done in his life professionally. Among many things, he developed Purina Dog Chow, Cat Chow, and Monkey Chow. View his life story from the News Gazette

Finally, little Lucy is finally putting on some weight! We are supplementing her died of Breast milk with formula as she wasn't gaining as much as she should have (at 1 month, still not back to her birth weight). I've uploaded some more pictures of her into her picture gallery.
